As this character-driven novel opens, Beatrice Macmillan, KC, is buying flowers for a dinner party, one she has planned for a group of people who haven’t seen each other for some thirty years, ever since the then-close friends gathered to celebrate finishing their university careers. That weekend party at a country house abruptly ended their friendship when one of them lay dead and another was arrested for his murder. Though he has never stopped claiming he was innocent, Tyler Green has been in prison ever since. Only recently has he been allowed to leave prison on parole. Beatrice has agreed to host their reunion at her large London home, though she’s uncertain why Tyler wanted to call them together. As nervous as she is about the event, nothing could prepare her for how it actually turns out, or what secrets will be spilled out in the process – along with more blood.
